Our Mission
The mission of the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio is to protect the public, employees, and inmates while operating a cost effective detention center for Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, and Williams Counties.
Welcome to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio
The Corrections Commission of Northwest Ohio was formed in 1987 to oversee the construction and operation of the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio. The five member jurisdictions of the Corrections Commission include Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, and Williams counties. The five member jurisdictions and a contract with the US Marshals Service & Findlay Municipal Court, proportionately share in the cost of operating the Corrections Center based upon the number of beds each is allocated. The bed allocation is reviewed annually, for the five member jurisdictions, based on each member's estimate of beds needed. The bed allocation breakout and proportionate cost share is as follows:
Jurisdiction | Number of Beds |
Defiance County | 63 |
Fulton County | 52 |
Henry County | 37 |
Lucas County | 173 |
Williams County | 55 |
US Marshals | 180 |
Findlay | 10 |
