Welcome to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DECEMBER 18, 2006
Jail doors at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio were open late Monday morning to all jurisdictions.
Doors had been closed since Friday to the City of Toledo due to exceeding its bed allocation numbers. It marked the 13th time this year that jail doors have been closed due to peak population numbers.
This morning’s count stood at 603 or 94 percent. The jurisdiction count this morning stood at 62.5 or 101 percent for Defiance County; 48 or 96 percent for Fulton County; 26 or 67 percent for Henry County; 177.5 or 90 percent for Lucas County; 240 or 98 percent for the City of Toledo; and 49 or 94 percent for Williams County.
When CCNO reaches 95 percent or 610 for one day, it results in closing the doors to those jurisdictions exceeding their allocations. In addition, those jurisdictions with inmate populations above 90 percent are asked to consider granting early releases for eligible inmates.
