The Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio (CCNO) has entered into an agreement with JPay Inc. to accept all funds being placed on an offender’s commissary account. This program is being launched at no cost to CCNO or the taxpayers.
Effective March 1, 2010, CCNO will no longer accept money at the front lobby or through the mail for offender commissary accounts. All funds need to be deposited through JPay Inc. JPay Inc. allows an offender’s friends and family to make deposits on their commissary accounts with the use of a credit or debit card.
JPay Inc. accepts funds through their website, an 800 number or by visiting a MoneyGram store. Fees for this service range from $3.95 to $11.95 varying by the amount of funds placed on an offender’s account. A kiosk will be placed in the front lobby at CCNO for cash payments for the convenience of visitors. The fee to use the kiosk will be $3.00.
JPay Inc. has similar services in the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections and other states such as Indiana, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
