Welcome to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FEBRUARY 12, 2007
It was another straight weekend for jail doors at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio to be closed to the City of Toledo.
Jail doors were closed Saturday to the City of Toledo when its population peaked to 255 or 104.5 percent. The entire count stood at 614 or 96 percent. It was the sixth weekend in a row for jail doors to be closed to the City of Toledo in 2007.
Doors were opened to all jurisdictions this morning with a total population of 592 or 92 percent. Toledo had 243.5 or 99.7 percent; Lucas County 183 or 92 percent; Defiance County 53.5 or 86 percent; Fulton County at 40 or 80 percent; Henry County at 27 or 71 percent; and Williams County at 45 or 90 percent.
When CCNO reaches 95 percent or 610 for one day, it results in closing the doors to those jurisdictions exceeding their allocations. In addition, those jurisdictions with inmate populations above 90 percent are asked to consider granting early releases for eligible inmates.
